The Piedmont Environmental Council is pleased to announce today’s launch of Solarize Piedmont 2024, a campaign that makes home-based solar installation cheaper and easier for homeowners and business owners in Albemarle, Clarke, Culpeper, Fauquier, Greene, Loudoun, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock counties, and the City of Charlottesville. Solarize Piedmont is part of the broader Solarize Virginia program managed by the Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP). Now in its 10th year, Solarize Virginia pre-vets and selects high-quality solar installers at discounted rates and provides free satellite assessments of a home’s suitability for solar power. Three free virtual information sessions will be held on: Tuesday, Apr. 9 at 12 p.m., Wednesday, May 15 at 6 p.m., and Monday, June 3 at 3 p.m. Register for these sessions at solarizeva.org/events.
