ALLOUEZ, Wis. (WBAY) – Senator Tammy Baldwin visited northeast Wisconsin as her campaign attempts to spotlight local businesses leaders across the state.
This includes the Eau Naturale Cosmetics in Allouez, which Baldwin toured late Wednesday afternoon.
Afterward, the senator spoke about the need to champion small businesses and promote Buy America rules, which was the purpose of the bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act
“We are seeing jobs coming back from overseas, manufacturing jobs because we have to source things domestically,” said Baldwin. “We want our tax dollars to support U.S. workers and U.S. small businesses so a lot of businesses have told me frankly if it wasn’t for those rules they might be out of business.”
Baldwin is seeking a third term in the Senate, facing a challenge from Republican Eric Hovde.
