Roofing company ex-employee: Things didnt add up; Customers out thousands [Video]

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Dozens of homeowners say they are out thousands after a roofing company left town and their license is now suspended.

In a story last month, customers of Orange Elephant Roofing claimed they couldn’t get in touch with the company at all after paying them to repair their homes.

After the story aired, a Facebook group was created called “Victims of Orange Elephant.” It now has more than 200 members from several states across the country.

Orange Elephant’s website claims they do service in South Carolina, Illinois, Colorado and Texas.

But Curtis Timma, who lives in Savannah, says Orange Elephant knocked on his door and offered to do his repair work. Little did he know at the time, the work would never happen even after shelling out $9,000.

“My roof was damaged by a hailstorm about a year ago,” Timma says. “Back in February, that’s when I first made contact with Orange Elephant Roofing. They previously did my neighbor’s roof and then they knocked on mine. They …

Steve has touched so many lives! He is in his 45th year as a Math Teacher!!! Steve graduated from Utah State and has a Masters from UNLV. He has coached for over 35 years as a Head Basketball and Baseball Coach as well as a varsity assistant in Football, at Las Vegas and Utah. Steve is so dedicated to his students, he attends most home games as many sports and activities as he can! He is retired from coaching but works at all home football games as the head chainsman.
