ROCHESTER, Minn. – As Hurricane Helene devastated many families, one Rochester resident is working to help her hometown in North Carolina recover from this destructive storm.
Gracie Salvaggio was born and raised in the Asheville/ Waynesville area of the state. She tells us she was heartbroken to see that the place she called home was completely destroyed after Hurricane Helene.
With that, she posted on Facebook- asking Rochester residents to donate supplies and raise money for the people and families struggling. The post blew up, as people from the area delivered canned goods, blankets, shoes and other necessities.
