Revitalize Milwaukee hosts annual transformation weekend [Video]

Homeowners in the Amani neighborhood had volunteers fix up their homes for free. Volunteers had a lot of power tools to help make repairs on homes in the Amani neighborhood. “I feel blessed,” said Myrtle Jude. Jude is one of about 11 homeowners whose houses are getting a sprucing up. Volunteers brought in a washer and dryer from the basement of Jude’s home to the main floor. “This used to be a bedroom, so they decided to bring my washer and dryer upstairs to give me more convenience and not have to up and down the stairs,” Jude said. Nate Krause is one of 400 volunteers with Revitalize Milwaukee through its Block Build MKE program. The program sends volunteers to homes that need repairs.
