While many people are home for the holidays, the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia is stepping up for those who need it most.
Jennifer Ballance has volunteered at the center for five years. She says she is always ready to work.
“People need food so anytime I can help in any kind of way I do it. My family understands,” she says.
While many are enjoying a big meal around a full table today, many others are not as fortunate. That’s why the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia made 2,200 meals for people in need.
Ballance says she grew up needing assistance from the community.
“I just love giving back because I guess when I was younger we depended on the community,” she says.
