Police warn people to keep an eye out for porch pirates and suspicious activity | News [Video]

OWASSO, Okla. — Though many people have front porch cameras, it doesn’t stop porch pirates from taking your stuff. 

“Porch Pirates…the lowest of the low. You work hard, you have your stuff delivered to your home and these people go around preying on the delivery drivers and just people who have to have their stuff delivered while they’re gone,” said Lt. Nick Boatman with Owasso Police Department (OPD). 

Lt. Boatman said porch pirates are a problem in Owasso. In the last week, police have only gotten two calls about possible thefts, however. 

“It was just a passerby or neighbors who saw something suspicious and called it in, which is great,” said Boatman. 

He said suspicious activity includes cars following delivery trucks. 

In Tulsa, officers arrested Jennifer Blanco and Richard Davis on charges of stolen property on Saturday. 

Tulsa Police said they recovered stolen packages from the two. Both suspects were booked into the Tulsa County Jail and bonded out …
