A growing number of businesses are moving from cash to only accepting cards. That includes one prominent concert and Broadway show venue in the Upstate. The Peace Center says they are setting the stage to go cashless. But some customers still aren’t giving this change a standing ovation. “With cards, things can go wrong. Cash is a guarantee,” said Laura Allen, a Peace Center customer. “If it’s cashless, the government has more ways to track where you’re spending your money,” J. Haynes, another customer said.In a social media post Monday, they said in part, “This change is to enhance your overall experience at the Peace Center.” But some customers were wary. “It could be a problem for a lot of people who don’t have such easy access to credit cards or even debit cards.
