OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – We’ve all heard just how tight the affordable housing market is right now.
Renting or looking for something to buy is difficult, or simply out of reach.
However, there‘s an Omaha company that’s enjoying a spike in business because of the lack of affordable housing.
Haden and Taylor are looking for less expensive housing.
They said that what’s on the market right now is just too much.
“Its typically almost more than $350,000, and then the rental prices are anywhere from about $1,200 to abut $1,800 for just a regular old apartment,” Haden said.
Don Hansen is with Nu-Trend Homes, his family has been in the business of selling modular and manufactured homes for 57 years.
Hansen said many people, especially those sitting out, can’t afford a $250,000 to $300,000 home.
