SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento City Council will vote Tuesday night on the preliminary term sheet for the development of a soccer stadium and entertainment venue in the Railyards.
Last week’s announcement about the new soccer stadium is just a small part of the developments planned for the Railyards.
“There are numerous other retail opportunities within that (development) ranging from 200 to 2,000 square feet,” said Josh Leachman, the senior vice president of the Project Development Downtown Railyard Venture, LLC.
Also in the Railyards is the Wong Center, an affordable senior housing project, and Kaiser Permanente will build a hospital.
The Central Shop District will adapt the eight historic buildings from the Central Pacific Railroad Yard for retail space. The Alchemist, a public market, is also excited to be in the space.
