A homeowner in an Uptown neighborhood said there’s damage to his property left behind after a New Orleans police officer shot a burglary suspect last week. Gunshots woke Joseph Henican on Thursday morning and left bullet holes around his property.”That sounded right outside of our bedroom. There’s several on the house and a brick blown off the wall right behind me,” said Henican. On Thursday, the New Orleans Police Department was chasing a suspected burglar in the 1200 block of State Street when shots were fired. Pieces of brick are now scattered on the ground, just feet away from Henican’s car, which was also damaged. “A side view mirror was blown out of a car we owned for three days.
