Warming stations aren’t the only services the Jimmie Hale Mission is offering this holiday season.The downtown campus has a new facility that allows the nonprofit to meet a greater need: a new dormitory. The dorm allows the nonprofit to house 98 men and was converted to a newer model with pods to give residents a sense of privacy and dignity while they seek help from Jimmie Hale.Residents have their own space with beds and a locked closet, and more bathrooms have been added as well.It’s a chance for those staying with the mission to feel as if they own something and strive towards making progress with getting back on their feet.”Everyone that comes to the Jimmie Hale Mission to seek a hand up has their own small private space,” said Jimmie Hale Mission executive director Perryn Carol. “That restores dignity, gives time for reflection and study, and has increased harmony …
