ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A Navy JROTC instructor wanted for sexual assault turned himself in to Henry County Jail on Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Rodney Freeman, an instructor at Union Grove High School, was first reported missing on Dec. 18. But police later said the 56-year-old was accused of offering a 17-year-old female student a ride to work and assaulting her at his McDonough home.

The surrender comes more than a month after the incident, which reportedly happened on Dec. 13.
Henry County Schools said he had been placed on administrative leave after the allegations.
