BUFFALO, Mo. (KY3) – The Buffalo Police Department arrested two men in connection to the theft of copper wire from an internet business last month.
Officers were called to East Main Street on November 26 and 27 following reports of copper wire thefts affecting Brightspeed Internet Services. They found hundreds of feet of copper wire valued at $8,500 dollars stolen.
Police arrested Brian Deckard, 45, of Buffalo on Nov. 27. Deckard admitted to assisting in the copper theft, officers also found methamphetamine. He is charged with Stealing and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Police arrested Jeffrey Whitehead, 33, of Buffalo, after Deckard said that Whitehead was also connected to the theft. Whitehead is charged with stealing a pickup truck from another location on East Main Street.
