LOUISIANA MAIN STREET OFFERS MAIN STREET RESTORATION GRANT OPPORTUNITY KQKI News [Video]

The City of Franklin Main Street Program is soliciting building restoration grant applications from downtown commercial building owners and/or business owners. This grant opportunity is offered through the Louisiana Main Street Program. It provides grants ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 to be used for restoration projects on historic commercial structures located in Louisiana Main Street districts. Restoration projects can be on the interior and exterior of the commercial structure.

Qualified grant recipients will receive notification by September. (Commercial building must be housed within Franklin’s Main Street District which runs from Iberia Street to Clark Street and Teche Drive to Anderson Street.) Applications received from Franklin Main Street building and/or business owners will compete statewide for funding with applications from other Main Street districts. Since 2017, Franklin Main Street building owners has received nearly $150,000.00 in redevelopment grant funds from the Louisiana Main Street program, initiating $500,000.00 in local projects costs …
