Since the middle school brothers in Muskegon first shared their story, they’ve received more than 100 calls.
MUSKEGON, Mich. — Business has blown up for two Muskegon middle schoolers who started raking leaves to raise money for football equipment.
The brothers call themselves the ‘Rake Monsters’ and use a flyer promoting their services with the slogan, “We’ll clean your yard better than we clean our rooms.”
Since sharing their story, the boys and their mom said their phone has not stopped ringing with jobs. Their original goal was to rake 60 yards before snow started falling.
Conarty said Monday, “We have had over 100 calls, and we have made over $100 in the past few days, which is pretty fast.”
He added, “I can’t wait to get a new pair of cleats. I’m super close, and I feel like only one or two yards, and I’ll be there.”
