Wayne and Patty Iazzetti have lived with a tarp over their home for nearly a year waiting for a large enough payment to pay for a new roof.
LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. — A Lake Oswego homeowner said his battle with State Farm over insurance claims from a January ice storm has become a nightmare for him and his wife.
Wayne Iazzetti claims a neighbor’s tree destroyed two upstairs bathrooms and the main bedroom of his Lake Grove home, with branches piercing through a skylight and causing significant damage. The incident left the couple living with a tarp over their roof for nearly a year.
“If I was in the major bathroom, I would have been dead,” Iazzetti said. A branch struck him in the forehead, and shattered glass cut his hand.
