KCPD investigating homicide near south Kansas City home [Video]

One man is dead after an argument escalated into an exchange of gunfire outside of a home in south Kansas City late Tuesday morning. Officers with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department were called to a residence in the 9600 block of Ditman Way around 10:45 a.m. According to police, two unidentified adult men were found suffering from gunshot injuries at the scene. Both men were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.One of the men is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The other man found at the scene died shortly after arriving at the hospital.A preliminary investigation found that prior to the shooting, the deceased victim arrived at the residence, and began arguing with the other unidentified man.
