On March 11, 2024, the Joint Committee on Finance will hold an executive session and a Section 13.10 meeting.

Executive Session: Assembly Bill 29: a sales and use tax exemption for precious metal bullion; Assembly Bill 793: modifying the tax treatment of college savings accounts and the employee college savings account contribution credit; Assembly Bill 910: remote sellers of cigars and pipe tobacco; Assembly Bill 932: modifying the certification criteria to be a qualified new business venture; Assembly Bill 940: funding for victim services and domestic abuse services, training for grant recipients, grants to child advocacy centers, and making an appropriation; Assembly Bill 1089: interest rates on late, nondelinquent taxes and on overpayments. Section 13.10 Meeting: Department of Public Instruction – Tom McCarthy, Associate Deputy State Superintendent: The Department of Public Instruction requested approval of early literacy curricula and instructional materials for the 2024-25 school year under the 14-day passive review of s. 118.015(1m)(b).
