SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — The steady drip of water into the home of Eric Garza and his wife at the Appletree Apartments is getting worse by the minute as remnants of Hurricane Francine leave the Mid-South.
The couple has been there since June, and the first time it rained, problems began to pour in.
“They supposedly came in with professionals, sheet rockers, people walking on top of the ceilings when I told them about it. They say it’s fixed, but it ain’t,” Garza said.
The couple has submitted work orders over the issue, with little done. Now, after Hurricane Francine hit, the problem is escalating into a major crisis. It’s clear the ceiling is at risk of further failure.
