FRANKFORT, Ky. — Team Kentucky held a press conference on Monday to give updates on recovery efforts as a large wintry storm blankets the state in snow and ice.
“We were ready for this so thank you to everybody who’s doing their part,” Beshear said.
He said the most important thing Kentuckians can do is stay safe and stay home as crews work to salt roads and restore power to those who lost it.

“You might be able to see pavement but that doesn’t mean that it’s not slick. A half an inch of ice is very hard to treat especially when it coats everything,” Beshear said.
