The FTSE 100 climbed on Wednesday morning, as traders digested UK inflation data for March.
At 3.2%, consumer prices increased at the slowest annual pace in well over two years, though this was slightly ahead of market expectations.
Among equities, Asos soared early on after news that it was ahead of schedule in its turnaround plan overshadowed an 18% fall in interim revenue.
Entain also rose this morning, having reported revenue growth over the first quarter on strong international performances, as UK operations took a hit from tougher regulation.
Saga climbed on annual profits which showed a return to profit for its cruise and travel businesses on rebounding demand.
And finally, Just Eat fell after revealing a drop in first-quarter orders as consumers cut back on spending.
