ORRINGTON — This week you might see a group of kids doing yard work around the Orrington area.
Now in its second year, The Reason, a youth group with the East Orrington Congregational Church is helping people with outdoor chores.
“We would love to see this spread through the whole community, at least one week a year, people reaching out to their neighbors and just giving a hand,” said Doug Fogg, Youth Ministry Director for the East Orrington Congregational Church.
From lawn care to home repair, the youth group is on a week-long mission to help their community.
On Tuesday, June 25th, the group was on Cheryl Drive in Orrington helping a member of the community.
“A lot of grunt work that some of the kids are use to and some of them aren’t,” Fogg says.
