Firefighters from CAL FIRE paid tribute over the weekend to those who made the ultimate sacrifice while working to put out fires and save lives.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Firefighters from across California came together over the weekend to honor and remember the 36 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty working to protect homes and save lives.
CAL FIRE honored seven of their own at the annual California Fallen Firefighters Memorial ceremony in Sacramento.
The memorial, which was build to honor the lives of firefighters killed in the line of duty in the State of California, contains the names of more than 1,500 fallen firefighters.
Firefighters and their families gathered for a special ceremony to paid their respects and honor the lives of those who gave everything to save lives.
