BROOKVILLE, Ind. (WXIX) – The FBI’s Indianapolis Division is looking into a potential investment scheme involving a Brookville man’s pickleball business.
According to a press release from the FBI, agents are seeking victims who invested with Rodney Grubbs, the former owner of Pickleball Rocks, a sports apparel business. Potential victims are asked to fill out this form, which asks various investment questions.
The FBI confirmed with FOX19 NOW that they executed a federal search warrant at Grubb’s Brookville home on Wednesday morning.
Not much information was given, but according to FOX19 NOW’s previous coverage, Grubbs has been allegedly targeting the pickleball community.
“He was by all appearances a very lovely person with a dream for pickleball and he preyed on and targeted good people in the pickleball community,” said Teri Siewart, one of Grubbs’ potential victims.
