Fans and Glendale businesses excited for Arizona Cardinals season to start [Video]

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — For the first, and only, time this preseason, Cardinals fans got a chance to see some of their favorite players on the home field.

“So excited, so excited. Can’t wait,” said Cardinals Fan Maureen Atkinson.

It’s the first time in more than seven months the team is playing a football game inside State Farm Stadium.

“The excitement is in the air. You know, gameday and people come out, and it’s just a fun time to be around. It’s exciting, and hopefully the Cardinals can do some damage this year,” said Cardinals Fan Jesse Chavez.

Across the street from State Farm Stadium, State 48 Funk House Brewery is one of the businesses inside Westgate Entertainment District looking forward to the upcoming season.

“We’re usually probably three or four times the amount of time more than what we are on a non-event day,” said Manager Shawna Morrison.
