The Emmy Awards‘ In Memoriam segment honored several actors who passed away over the last year, but many fans at home were shocked to notice that Shelley Duvall was notably snubbed despite her work in television.
Backed by Jelly Roll singing “I Am Not Okay,” actors like Chance Perdomo, Carl Weathers, Donald Sutherland and James Earl Jones received a mention, alongside notable crew members and others who worked behind the scenes in Hollywood.
Duvall, who passed away in July 2024, was best known for her work in The Shining, Popeye, and Three Women. But she later made a name producing children’s programming and has been praised by many for becoming a “pioneer” in children’s television.
