NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Over a dozen Madison drivers want to know who will pay for the thousands of dollars in damage to their cars. A hole in the road was not filled all the way with asphalt near a construction project.
What looks like a giant divot in the road is the reason hubcaps were flying off cars last Thursday on Myatt Drive.
It’s the street Shea Adkisson drives home from work.
“It sounded like a bomb went off actually,” she said after three of her tires popped.
“It was like a domino effect,” said Jamie Little, another driver now in a bind. “Myself and 12 other cars that I know of had substantial damage.”
It’s all because Little and Adkisson said the asphalt was not filled properly and there was a big gap.
The gap is next to a townhome construction site where a water line was being worked on.
