Dramatic moment cyclist is injured in head-on crash with Citi Bike teen rider on wrong side of cycle path as he calls for more restrictions for users [Video]

This is the dramatic moment a cyclist was left injured after crashing into a teenage Citi Bike rider who was on the wrong side of the cycle path in Manhattan. 

Matt, 30, was cycling home from work when he collided with the rental bike being ridden on the wrong side of the cycle path.

Video showed the Brooklyn-based IT specialist frantically ringing his bell as the Citi Bike rider cycled into him. 

The crash left with swelling and bruises to his face, legs and arms, and he is considering legal action after police said they couldn’t take action because the cyclist was under 18.

Matt’s Cannonade road bike would cost close to $2000 to replace and $1000 to repair.

He’s calling for accountability from the teenager and doesn’t want minors to be able to use Citi Bikes. The minimum age to use Citi Bikes is 16. Though the company strongly …
