Door County Candle Company raising money for Hurricane Helene relief [Video]

DOOR COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – The toll from Hurricane Helene still lingers across a vast swath of the southeastern United States.

More than 225 people were killed after the storm came ashore on September 26 as a Category Four hurricane and moved northward from Florida. It washed away homes, destroyed roads, and knocked out electricity to millions.

Eleven days later, we now know it’s the deadliest hurricane to hit the mainland U.S. since Katrina in 2005.

Once again, a small company is doing its part to make a big impact. The Door County Candle Company is selling a hurricane relief beachside candle, donating all proceeds to the Red Cross.

Christiana Trapani, owner Door County Candle, explains more in the video above.
