A DHL Boeing cargo plane crashed into a home near Lithuania’s capital on Monday morning, killing at least one person.
The Boeing 737, flying from Leipzig in Germany, crashed shortly before landing at Vilnius airport at around 5.30 a.m. local time. A crew member was killed, while the pilot and three other crew members survived, according to CNN. A total of 12 people inside the home were rescued.
The Boeing 737 was 31 years old, according to The Associated Press, which noted it was an older aircraft but added that was not unusual for cargo flights.
A spokesperson for Boeing told Newsweek on Monday: “Our thoughts are with the crew of Flight QY5690. We are working to gather more information and we stand ready to provide any support.”
