DALEVILLE, Ala. (WTVY) – Daleville is partnering with a corporation to attract big business.
Just weeks after the council voted to join the Ozark-Dale County Economic Development Corporation, the pair is getting the ball rolling.
Both partners believe the plans could provide a boost.
On Hanchey Field Road in Daleville sits an industrial site that has gone untouched for decades. That will change.
“We applied for funding to do some environmental studies on this property to help us find out just how valuable it would be to invest in it further, and how much of the acreage is developable,” Holle Smith, President of the Ozark-Dale County Economic Development Corporation, said.
Over $30,000 from the state and $10,000 from the city will go towards assessing and making this property more attractive.
This is a core part of economic development. according to Smith.
