NORTH BEND, Ore. — The search for Joseph Neill, a 72-year-old Coos County man who disappeared while photographing the king tides, has shifted from official rescue efforts to a community-driven search.

First responders and law enforcement teams, including the U.S. Coast Guard and search-and-rescue K9 units, searched the area. They suspended their search on Thursday afternoon after finding no new information for three days. Despite this, Neill’s family and hundreds of volunteers are still searching.
