Columbia Police are investigating an early Sunday morning shooting that happened in the downtown Columbia area.
According to a news release by CPD, officers heard gunshots near Tenth Street and Broadway at approximately 2:50 a.m. on Aug. 25.
Kaley Diesel is a resident of 1000 Brookside. She said she had just come home from working at Harpos Bar and Grill, just down the street, when she heard the gunshots.
“There was like 10 or 15 shots. We were sitting on the patio and we looked over… immediately there was like 10 cop cars outside, cops running around with big guns and stuff. It was pretty bad,” Diesel said.
Diesel showed KOMU 8 a bullet hole in the entrance to her apartment building.
Prior to officers arrival, an adult male was transported in a personal vehicle to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
