Classic Camaro modified for drag racing stolen from garage behind Sylvania home [Video]

SYLVANIA, Ohio (WTVG) – This 1972 split bumper Z28 Camaro is more than just a car, it’s a hobby Dean Holly has poured decades of time and money into.

“Slowly but surely, I’ve started turning it into my drag show car,” said Dean, who got the Camaro in 2003. Since then, he’s made modifications to take his classic car drag racing.

“My dad actually has a passion for drag racing, always wanted to explore it, started to follow it. He obviously started to modify the car a little bit to make it a drag car, make it faster,” explained Dean’s son Anthony Holley.

The morning of Thursday, June 13, 2024, Dean said his wife noticed the side door to their detached garage was open. He later discovered it had been pried open, with damage to the door frame. Dean got to the garage to discover his Camaro was missing.
