Church expresses gratitude for numerous community donations [Video]

Located on the south side of Anderson at the corner of Cleveland and Spencer Street lies a small but mighty building.The building, which has been around for at least the mid-1900’s, has been home to The Church of God of Prophecy since the 1980sYears of wear and tear on the building, along with a tree that recently fell on parts of it, along with destroying a sign that sat outside of the building, Pastor Rebecca Mackey said she felt like it was time for a change.“I always had a vision of what I wanted,” Mackey said. “I wanted to make things look more presenting and inviting to people when they come around.”The church is in need of major repairs, including new doors, new steps, ADA accessibility, new signs, plus more.Mackey said she got the idea to apply for a grant and enlisted the help of a man from Santee, South …
