Charges filed after homeowners paid for construction never done [Video]

After initial charges were filed, Pawloski allegedly continued to defraud people under a new business name.

OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) has reported they are investigating a man for Fraud by False Pretenses after he allegedly accepted money for home improvement projects that were never completed.

OCSO said the investigation has been ongoing as it began in July of 2023 when an Ottawa County resident reported paying Blackstone Partners LLC for construction work that was never completed.

During their investigation, authorities found that several sub-contractors had done work for Blackstone Partners LLC but were never fully paid for their work.

After OCSO turned the investigation over to the Ottawa County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, criminal charges were authorized.

The owner of Blackstone Partners LLC, 30-year-old Wesley Pawloski from Grand Rapids, was charged with three counts of Felony Contractor Fraud in August of 2024.
