BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Founded by Paul and Carol Cannon in 1972, the ‘Bridge to Recovery’ is a workshop-based program with a treatment-focused approach.
It offers residential workshops to help individuals heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, codependency, and more. Through various therapeutic methods, the program addresses the root causes of emotional pain for lasting recovery.
“They were looking for a piece of property to facilitate healing for folks, somewhere they could go away from home, away from work, away from all the distractions in life where they could heal,” Outreach Specialist for The Bridge to Recovery, Shera Loeser, said. “They searched surrounding states, and they found this beautiful piece of property out here in Bowling Green, Kentucky.”
She added that when the Cannons first saw the site, the only thing it had on it was a Civil War-era cabin that is still in use today.
