April 23rd is the deadline for voter registration in West Virginia [Video]

HARRISON COUNTY, W.Va (WDTV) – Time is running out for West Virginians to register to vote. The deadline for registration is Tuesday, April 23rd. Registration in person can be done at county courthouses until the close of business. Those who wish to register online will have until 11:59 PM Tuesday. Marion County’s Clerk, Julie Kincaid was at the election center on Monday, training poll workers as registration comes to a close. Kincaid expressed just how important it is to get out and register.

“It’s extremely important that people register to vote,” Kincaid said. “It’s to get their voice heard, not to just be another piece of identification. So, we are excited about the election process. We’re ready, we have been for some time now. We just look forward to getting to the primary election.”
