The Anchorage School District held a work session Monday to further discuss the “rightsizing” initiative, followed by a board meeting in which many students and parents spoke in opposition to the plan. The session was the first opportunity for the public to voice their opinions after the announcement was made Friday that seven elementary schools were being considered for closure, consolidation or repurposing.
