Slugs and snails are around all year round, however, they are even more active in spring when temperatures rise but wet weather continues.
Warm and wet are the ideal conditions for slugs and snails to thrive in gardens.
To keep slugs and snails away, Alan demonstrated what he does with his potted hosta plants that have not been attacked by these pests.
