WKTV — It was a busy day for high school girls basketball across the region. Six games helped further solidify the standings in Section III for area teams.
Oriskany/Westmoreland looked dominant at home against Waterville on Saturday afternoon, winning 70-21. Addison Fabbio and Madalynne Enos combined for 35 points in the victory. The Skyhawks improve to 3-1 on the season.
Out in East Syracuse, New Hartford traveled to face the 7-1 Cobras from Bishop Grimes. New Hartford battled to take a two-point advantage into the break. The Cobras responded by outscoring the Spartans 20-3 in the third quarter, eventually hanging on for the 61-53 win. The Cobras move to 8-1, while New Hartford falls to 3-3 on the year.
Elsewhere in girls basketball, Hamilton tops Fayetteville-Manlius on the road, 45-36. They improve to 5-0 on the season.
