Despite the devastation, some people are taking advantage of the tragedy. Some people are setting up fundraisers with no intention of helping.
The Better Business Bureau says you should ask a few questions before making a donation.
Are you sure the fundraisers on crowdfunding websites, like GoFundMe, have been thoroughly vetted? Some websites have more thorough background checks than others.
