COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A Colorado Springs man is asking for your help after his work trailer with $40,000 worth of tools was stolen from his home in broad daylight.
The crime happened on Sept. 26 around 6:15 p.m. near Babcock Road and Palmer Park Boulevard. Colorado Springs police tell us that crimes like this are on the rise this fall.
“They drive up they take my trailer, and then they take a right on Babcock and go all the way down Babcock, and then they’re messing with the trailer and stuff. It just blows my mind that somebody can come up and take a trailer,” said Mitchell Gifford, the man whose trailer was stolen.
Gifford has run his own specialty concrete and epoxy flooring business for more than five years, building up a collection of valuable tools. Those tools are now gone.
