Angleton home collapse: Minor and adult confirmed dead and 5 hospitalized after structure falls [Video]

ANGLETON, Texas (KTRK) — Several family members were crushed as they tried to level a mobile home, killing an adult and a 17-year-old, according to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sunday afternoon, family members were working on the home in the 2000 block of CR 49, just east of Highway 288, when it collapsed, authorities say.

According to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, they got the call around 5 p.m. about the mobile home collapsing as several family members were trying to level it. Several of them were trapped underneath the house until first responders got there.

In video from SkyEye, you can see a hydraulic jack and broken cinderblocks around the home.
