This Morning’s Ben Shephard talks ‘very emotional’ weekend after huge milestone [Video]

Ben Shepard, the host of Good Morning Britain, opened up to Lorraine on ITV about his son Sam leaving home for university.

During a chat with Ben and Cat Deeley about what was coming up on This Morning, Lorraine was keen to hear more about Sam’s initial days at university.

A picture of Sam and his wife from behind was shown as Ben revealed: “So he’s had freshers. It was all very emotional. This was him and Annie, he’s in Bristol. She was better than I was to be fair, I was really really emotional about it.”

As This Morning began, Ben mentioned that his godson and his best friend’s son also started university this weekend, reports the Mirror.

He added: “Sam left last week, we got a FaceTime call from Sam this morning at 7:30 asking, ‘Mum, how do I do laundry?’ He had all his clothes and he wanted approval from his mum!”
