Janette Manrara ‘feels like a single mum’ as Aljaz Skorjanec returns to Strictly [Video]

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Janette Manrara has spoken about her experience as a “single working mum” while her husband Aljaz Skorjanec participates in the 2024 BBC series.

The Cuban-American TV presenter, who was a guest on ITV’s Lorraine, discussed her new book, Tiny Dancer, and her hectic schedule as a mother of one.

Janette and her champion dancer husband are parents to one year old Lyra, and she admitted that balancing everything becomes challenging when Strictly duties intensify. Janette revealed that when Aljaz is fully immersed in training and living away from their home in Cheshire, she has to manage everything else, including promoting her new book.

Discussing her daily routine without her husband at home, the mum-of-one humorously told Scottish host Lorraine Kelly: “It’s like I’m a single working mum,” as she shared all the tasks she has to handle.
