You can make Sevas popular dishes at home with release of new cookbook [Video]

ANN ARBOR, MI — Seva Restaurant celebrated its 50th anniversary in Ann Arbor in 2023, and now it’s sharing some of its most iconic recipes in a new cookbook.

Owner Maren Jackson is sharing 50 dishes and one never-before-seen recipe in her first cookbook to honor the restaurant’s past half century of bringing a full vegetarian menu to the city.

The restaurant at 2541 Jackson Ave. in Ann Arbor’s Westgate Shopping Center, is run by Maren and Jeff Jackson, who have been behind Seva’s ownership since 1997.

The recent anniversary sparked a desire in the Jacksons to share what Seva’s is all about, said Emma De Almeida, Jeff and Maren’s daughter and Seva’s marketing coordinator.

The cookbook features recipes for appetizers, soups, entrees, drinks and desserts from 1973 to 2023. Some popular dishes featured include the General Tso’s Cauliflower, …
