LAMB Arts granted extension as they work to remove 38 years of theater history from Market Street building [Video]

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – LAMB Arts will have until the end of September to vacate the facility they’ve called home for 38 years.

Sioux City City Council approved that extension Monday night.

The city council terminated the lease agreement with LAMB Arts for its Market Street facility earlier this year after the building failed inspection.

LAMB Arts was given until July 17th to clear everything out. But, because of the decades of items inside, and a lack of proper storage space, they needed more time.

Mayor Bob Scott says the building needs to come down.

“It’s my personal opinion, I’m not going to speak for the council, that building is in such disrepair that we will probably be taking it down,” Scott said after the meeting. “I don’t see any salvage there.
