Beloved Victorian dad dies on commute home from work [Video]

More than $25,000 has been raised for the family of a beloved Victorian dad who died on his commute home last month.

Maximilliano Toro was just around the corner from his home on Sunday, July 28, when he pulled over and fell unconscious in suspected cardiac arrest.

Emergency services worked to restart his heart before he was taken to Royal Melbourne hospital.

Max Toro died on his way home from work, leaving behind his partner and three children. (Supplied)

Doctors then discovered Toro had suffered a brain bleed and would not wake from his coma.

He leaves behind partner Cecilia and three children Sofia, Evangelina and Santiago.

A GoFundme fundraiser set up for the family has since raised more than $25,000.

“Our hearts are breaking, not only for ourselves, but more so for the beautiful family he has left behind,” organiser Katie Bucovak wrote.
